App State 2018 Homecoming!

Three weeks ago App State celebrated 2018 Homecoming with various events, a parade and of course, APP STATE FOOTBALL!

App State Dance Team was asked to walk in the Homecoming Parade that took place that Friday. We hyped everyone up for Saturday's game when we performed the Fight Song, Get Up Off That Thing and Go Appalachian with the band.

Saturday morning we made our way to Owens Field House at the stadium and prepared for a day full of App State Football! On game days, our team arrives to the field house 4 hours before the game starts. When we get to the field house, we put our final touches on hair and makeup, then get ready to do Mountaineer Walk (where App State dance and cheer teams walk the football team from the expression tunnels, up to the stadium. Next, we walk around tailgates and hangout with the App State FB fans - and usually get some pretty good tailgate food! Finally, we practice in Varsity Gymnasium one last time and then head up to the field.

We had so much fun at the game and cannot wait to be back at The Rock this Saturday as App State Football takes on the Rajin' Cajuns! Come out to Kidd Brewer to see the game in action, and to cheer on the Mountaineers!
