Top 5 Faves on DWTS Season 27

As we finish up the second week of Dancing with the Stars season 27, I'm taking a look at some of my favorite performances danced by my top five favorite contestants.

Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong - Week Two - Tango

I honestly could have guessed that this couple would be my favorite even before I saw them dance together. Tinashe might not have as much classical training in dance as Armstrong, but what she does have is confidence and stage presence (thanks to her role as a popstar). This routine in particular proved that Tinashe can hang with the pros. Not only is this routine my favorite from the season thus far, but I also have to commend Tinashe for wearing those tall heels in a dance style that she's not used to!

Demarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold - Week One - Cha Cha

This routine featuring football pro, Ware, and DWTS pro, Arnold kicked off the season with tons of energy and personality. Ware might not be the best dancer out there, but he has a sort of charisma and charm to him that makes viewers love him! Not to mention, the jump over Arnold in the middle of this routine was impressive. For this to have been only his first routine, Ware did a great job, and I'm excited to see him improve over the season.

Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe - Week Two - Jive

Evanna Lynch truly surprised me when she popped with this routine this past Tuesday. Lynch and Motsepe put on a show with this performance. Lynch maintained her energy throughout the entire routine, and hit every step despite this being the second routine she had learned for the week. To be honest, this one also wins in my book because I LOVE their costumes. Overall, Lynch seems like a contender in the competition for the Mirror Ball trophy.

Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke - Week Two - Foxtrot

Juan Pablo Di Pace clearly has the looks for television, but it wasn't until this performance that I discovered this man can really dance! Di Pace executed a switch-split jump over that couch like it was nothing, and I'm supposed to believe this is his first run at ballroom dancing? Either way, he's pretty good, and he's pretty good looking too - which are two pretty good reasons that this couple should be a part of this top five list.

Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten - Week One - Jive

This was Ren's first routine of the season, and she didn't do too bad! This entire routine has a cute theme and both Ren and Bersten portray their characters well. Although it wasn't the most precise dance from this season, it's undeniable that Ren has potential, and hopefully that will take her far this season.
