WOD Season 2 Winners: The Lab

Based out of Los Angeles, The Lab tells a story of hard work and dedication. This group of 15 might be young, but they know a thing or two when it comes to dance. What makes this team inspiring, though? Most of these kids come from broken homes and use dance to learn about teamwork and rising above their circumstances.

The Lab consists of children ages 8-16, but yet they present themselves with such sophistication and maturity. The video below is only their first performance from this last season of World of Dance.

This group won over America's hearts from the jump, but as the season progressed they started exploring other ways to use dance to tell a story about important issues. During the finals, The Lab performed to John Mayer's, "Waiting on the World to Change" and told a story of what it's like living in modern-day America.

This group also knows how to get down and put on a show. Their performance from the Divisional Finals went viral and when you see it you'll understand why! Their musicality and attention to detail is unlike anything I've ever seen before, plus their dedication to the story through the stage set-up and costume design is incredible.

After watching their dance clips, it's pretty clear why The Lab took home the million dollar prize from season two of World of Dance. Seeing a group as young as this one makes me excited for the path the dance is headed. Kids are soaking in all things dance like a sponge and the outcome is incredible dance skills and heart like the members of The Lab!
